Madden NFL 16 allows gamers to choose a team

The number of NFL 16 in-game camera angles has grown with leaps and bounds. Players now have the option to cycle to new defensive cameras before the snap of the ball which rotates the camera so it sits behind the defense. Rather than attempting to read a play from the wrong side of the ball, this new viewpoint places the camera over the shoulder of the controlled defender. From this view, it is easier to see which way the offense is moving, where the blockers are going, where holes are forming and what route the running back may take through the line. During pass plays, the camera smartly pulls back while continuing to track the ball in flight, allowing for seamless switching to the nearest defender and minimal play disruption. Those who wish to focus on a specific player can also turn on a defensive player lock camera, keeping that individual centered onscreen for the duration of the play.

Game play feels as natural and fluid as it’s ever been. Though it does seem have a lot of replays that are not that easy to skip, so I give it 4.5 points. And finally replay ability, I give it a 5 because there are so many different ways you can replay the game and get different results. So in total I gave the game 21 out of 25 points. Having not purchased Madden for the last couple of years I’m definitely pleased I picked up the newest edition. This little scenario between the Panthers and the Seahawks took place while the game was still installing on my PlayStation 4. After my thrilling defeat, Madden NFL 16 fired up a few videos that highlighted the game's new modes and features-and took me into the revamped Skills Trainer. 

As any other title in the EA Sports lineup, Madden NFL 16 allows gamers to choose a team, probably the one they love or admire in real life, and then guide it to victory or to at least an above average performance by using all the tools that a manager and player has in the real world to extract performance from the organization. The game simulates all the teams, and the player has info on coaches, the history of the league, and every tactical elements associated with it, which means that it’s easy for the player to create his own storylines or to recreate some from the real world.

The skills trainer is not the only the only part of Madden NFL 16 to get a good going over ( I spent some time with Madden 25 and Madden 11 to be able to identify the differences). The AI has been polished up and your team now has what EA call Player Sense 2.0. This is very apparent during the defense parts of the game. Your teammates seem to know what you are trying to achieve and will fill in the gaps rather well. Should you be preoccupied with your opposing number in a line of scrimmage whilst trying to run a blitz play for example, a free teammate will run around and tackle the quarterback thus achieving what you wanted. No longer does it feel like you are a one legged man in an arse kicking competition should you not switch to the correct player in time; non controlled players now move with the play you called in mind giving you the sensation that you are part of a team rather than the whole thing yourself.

For every crunching tackle that twists its recipient into the shape of a pretzel, another challenge will defy the laws of physics and send its victim flying off in completely the wrong direction. Particularly evident during scrimmages, there are times when teams awkwardly bounce and bump into each other like a dance troupe that has failed to practise. If you disagree with the recommendation, menus are clear and easy to navigate, with each play type clearly marked and sectioned.

The NFL 16 Ultimate Team mode is huge across the EA Sports lineup, and it's been slowly building for Madden. This year's iteration takes things further thanks to some much-needed simplification. We spoke with the mode's producer Joe Alread about why this year's version is more user-friendly. "In years past, managing your team was always kind of a bit of a headache," Alread says. "This year, that's not the case."

The passing attack starts with the quarterback so that's where we begin. Without a top notch QB you can't run a pass heavy offense. The changes to Madden 16 means a low accuracy QB isn't going to perform as well as he did in Madden. Taking a look at the top quarterbacks we'll see names like Manning, Rodgers, Brees, and Brady who all run elite offenses in the NFL but do they have the weapons to be considered the top 5 Madden 16 passing offenses?
